$29.95/person plus tax for one-hour axe throwing and all escape rooms
$19.95/person plus tax for half-hour walk-in axe throwing (available downtown only)
$5 plus tax for 5 throws
$1 plus tax for 1 Hammerschlagen nails
- Are we really locked in?
No. There is an emergency unlock button in each room, but it is more fun to pretend it isn’t there at all, but you can freely leave the room if you want &/or need.
- What if I am claustrophobic?
You will be fine! One of our owners is super claustrophobic…I mean SUPER CLAUSTROPHOBIC (there isn’t an elevator she has ever met that she likes) & she has sailed through tons of rooms without a care in the world. Remember this is a fun gaming experience & you are in sizable rooms & can leave at ANY TIME!
- What is the age limit?
8 years & older. Ages 8 to 15 will need an adult present & all waivers filled out prior to the booking.
- How long will the experience take?
From beginning to end the entire experience is about 90 minutes. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes early to ensure your entire party has signed the appropriate waivers, the experience is 60 minutes long, & we like to debrief your team after whether you escape the room or not.
- What do I need to do before arriving?
Simply book your room & time, indicate the number of participants, pay for the room & have each participant fill out the waiver
- Can I buy tickets as a gift?

- How do I redeem a gift card someone bought me?
- How many players can play per room?
Each room is different, please see the requirements for each room but most rooms are 2-10 players.
- Will I be playing with strangers?
You may depending on the size of your party. We try to fill rooms to ensure any participants wanting to play get to experience the fun. Also the more teammates the better!!
- What if I don’t want to play with strangers?
You can book the entire room to ensure that it is just you & your party.
- Can I book a private event?
Yes! Just email us at firstname.lastname@example.org & we will be in touch to help plan your event.
- Would this be something I could use as a team building experience?
Absolutely!! Escape 605 is the ultimate way for teams to work together as a well oiled teamwork machine to reach the ultimate goal…ESCAPING THE ROOM! Many Sioux Falls’ companies have already booked us for their team building experiences and have had a blast! - Can we bring in our phones/belongings?
Unfortunately not, we want you focused on the game not your screen. We have a secure place to put for all your belongings.
- What happens if I am late or want to cancel my reservation?
We have to start the rooms on time in order to keep pace with other start times. So if you are late the time will be running. Again, we recommend you arrive 15 minutes prior to your booking. All payments are made at the time of booking & we do not issue refunds.
- Can I switch my ticket to someone else’s name?
Sure can, but contact us at email@example.com to give us a heads up. Every participant has to fill out a waiver prior to playing
- Do you have a wait list if the time I want to play is already booked?
We sure do!! Email info@Escape605.com & we will add you to our waiting list.
- What happens if we don’t escape in time?
A trap door will open in the floor & you will be kicked out into the parking lot! Just kidding, seeing if you’re paying attention 🙂 It is up to each party if they want a debriefing on what clues, puzzles they missed, or if they want to sign up and give it another shot.
- What happens if we do escape in time?
YOU ARE A WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!! Congrats! We will have a Leader Board that we will put you on with your winning time & post for all to see so you have bragging rights
- Can I bring in alcohol?
No, you are no longer allowed to bring alcohol or other beverages with you to Escape 605. Instead, we now offer a variety of drinks including beer and wine if you are interested in purchasing those when you arrive. If you are playing with strangers, please don’t be “that person” or you will be asked to leave. Cheers!!
- What do I need to bring? Do I need any special knowledge, education, etc?
Just your imagination & the willingness to have as much fun as humanly possible!
- Are walk-ins welcome?
Yes!! But at the Downtown location only. However, it is highly recommended that you still make your reservation online in advance to ensure the axe throwing time you want to play is not sold out!
Our Westport Ave location does not accept walk-ins and all reservations for this location must be done online or over the phone in advance.
- What is the cost & do I have to pay prior?
The cost is $29.95+tax/pp for an amazing 60 minute axe throwing or escape room experience! You pay when you make the booking online. For groups of 24+, please email us at info@escape605 & we will get you booked! Book Here
- How many people can throw with me?
You can bring as many of your friends, family, co-workers, acquaintances, frenemies that you want! If you have a smaller group, you can reserve as many spots as you want. Please note you might be playing with other people, but that only makes it more fun! If you want a PRIVATE lane, you must pay for 6 spots to ensure the lane is totally yours. You don’t have to bring that many, but why wouldn’t you? For two private lanes, you would need to pay for 12 spots. For groups larger than 24, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
- I don’t know the first thing about axe throwing, who is going to help with that?
Not a problem! We have fully trained Axeperts for each group. They will not only teach you the proper form and techniques, but will also make it incredibly fun! They coach you throughout, have fun games for you to compete in & will occasionally call you out in front of your group! All in good fun though!
- What does an axe thrower wear?
Flannel, flannel, and of course flannel! Kidding! You can wear anything, just make sure you have full range of motion. The ONLY rule we have is that there will be NO OPEN TOED SHOES! You will not be allowed to throw if you show up in them!
- Do you have walk in times available?
We do have walk in times available. Please check out the schedule to see what day/time would work for you! Please note, the best way to ensure that you get to throw on that day/time is to book it online prior! If you show up that day without a booking, you might not be able to throw! No one wants that to happen, be a smart axe and book prior! We fill up fast! There are designated walk in times, they start at that time only. If you come in between those designated times, you might have to wait to start throwing!
- How do we book & pay separately?
You can do it this way, but it will be much easier to just have one person book! If you like to do things the hard way, please have everyone pick a team captain. Have everyone add in the notes that they are playing with that team captain. We will try very hard to make sure you all get on the same lane! Did we mention it might be easier to have just one person book?
- What are the age limits for throwing axes?
Anyone from 8-108 can throw an axe! We do have some rules though. Our Axeperts will be the final say in who can properly throw and participate after assessing each individuals coordination & strength. Any children between the ages of 8-14 need one adult for every child throwing. Minors ages 15-18 need one adult present. Everybody throwing needs to sign a waiver prior to starting. Anyone under the age of 18 will need their legal guardian to sign the waiver. No waiver, no throwing! A waiver link will be emailed to you after making your reservation.

- What if we are running late?
This will usually mean that you will have less time to throw! If you have a private lane booked it is not usually a problem! If you are playing with other people and they arrived on time, you will not be allowed to throw if you are more than a few minutes late. We don’t want to ruin their experience by having the Axepert explain everything again!
- What about food and drinks?
We serve beer/wine/malted beverages/coffee at our on site bar! Please email us email@example.com to inquire about catering options. We only allow food to be brought in for special occasions/events.

Sorry, we only throw with our axes!
- Where is our group photo?
We post all photos to our Escape605 Facebook page. They are placed in albums, just check for the day you threw! Feel free to tag yourself and your friends! We do a monthly give away of a free session for those with the most likes, shares & comments!
- Do I tip my Axepert?
Tips are not mandatory, but always appreciated! They truly work hard to give you an amazing experience! If you are so inclined to tip but do not have cash, they accept credit cards!
- Where do I find information about Corporate events and/or parties?
